About IAS Courses

Evidence-based education strengthening global HIV response

Our Mission

IAS Courses provides evidence-based educational resources that strengthen the capacity of healthcare professionals, researchers, and public health practitioners to improve HIV prevention, treatment, and care. Our content supports knowledge translation from research to practice and contributes to health systems strengthening globally.

Our Approach

Educational content is developed through systematic review of peer-reviewed evidence, international guidelines, and implementation science research. We emphasize context-appropriate learning that acknowledges diverse health system capacities and resource environments. Content undergoes rigorous technical and editorial review to ensure scientific accuracy and practical relevance.

The International AIDS Society

IAS Courses is the educational platform of the International AIDS Society, the world's largest association of HIV professionals. The IAS brings together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and community advocates from more than 180 countries to advance HIV science, treatment, and prevention.

Educational Philosophy

Our educational approach is grounded in respect for scientific evidence, professional autonomy, and health equity. We present evidence without advocacy, acknowledging areas of ongoing debate and evidence uncertainty. Content emphasizes person-centered care, community engagement, and the reduction of structural barriers to HIV services.

Free Access

All IAS Courses content is provided free of charge. We do not require fees, subscriptions, or institutional affiliations for access. This commitment reflects our belief that educational resources should be available to healthcare professionals regardless of geographic location or institutional resources.

Global Reach

IAS Courses supports healthcare professionals in diverse settings, from resource-constrained environments to established health systems. Our educational framework emphasizes knowledge transfer that respects local contexts while maintaining scientific rigor.
